Could you please choose the correct one with justification?

in = inside It is not appropriate here.
desktop = the top of a desk.

This would improve matters:
I need software installed on my desktop computer.

Could you please improve the subject lines of your topics.

It’s not wrong, but it’s not an option which flows well and it is not required in most situations.
