Hi. Is this sentence correct? " You’re dead if they knew" If not, why?
The mix of tenses doesn’t make any sense.
These are correct:
You’d be dead if they knew.
They’d kill you if they knew.
You’re dead if they find out (a colloquial term as an indication of what would happen if they found out).
