I WANT YOU SO BAD

Hi:

I know that the word BAD is used for something that is wrong, as evil, inadequate, incorrect, etc., but what is its meaning when it is used in the expression: I want you so bad.

Is it also correct to say: I want you so badly?

I will appreciate your comments about this.

Regards.

I want you so bad, means the same as sentence, I want you so much.
Not sure about sentence, I want you so badly.

‘I want you so badly’ is actually a more grammatically correct way of saying ‘I want you so bad’.

Heh, I know for song , I want you so bad, so by that I conclude this…

Hi,

Is this a slang … for dark skin people ?

I don’t think so.

I want you so bad, may be gramatically correct, but it is a deviation from established convention that wish/want/ desire are used for expressing positive things, for instance

I want to see you as a good business man.

I wish that you should get a rank in examination.

I desire that I should be the topper.

Like-wise, Want should always be associated with wishful thinking.

ok! bye bye,

Hi,

‘I want you so bad’ isn’t grammatically correct. See my post above.

Thanq for your reply,
so, I am conversant with the formation " I want you so badly " but can you give me more grammatical explanation.
