Parents are best teachers
Nowadays, some people believe that parents are best teachers for their children. On the contrary, some hold the opinion that parents shouldn’t be responsible for education of their children. While, I believe that parents influence on children’s development drastically, nevertheless, I still contend that parents can’t be provide high quality education like in school. I will discuss my reasons below.
It is undeniable that parents are people who guide and inspire us to develop further. Clearly, children learn from parents how to eat, walk, play, communicate, speak, but parents are not professional specialists in every sphere. As well it is known, children should know how to read, write, count, build logical connections and also socialize with other people.
Unfortunately, homely atmosphere is not identical to classical schooling, where children can improve communicate, participate in interesting activities, play sport, learn academic skills. Apparently, we shouldn’t expect from parents to be expertise in all these domains.
Furthermore, parents could be too subjective or emotional during process. For instance, when I studied at school, my father always taught me how to count and if I didn’t understand my father shouted at me. In other words, when parents attempt to explain some concepts or ideas, they have tendency to worsen relations within family. For this important reason, children should develop friendly attitude toward parents and not the opposite.
What is more, I would say that home schooling doesn’t teach children to develop the sense of responsibility, competition and independence. I think that children learn a lot of vital skills at school, such as communication, resolution of conflicts and ability to share with ideas. Consequently, sometimes parents don’t have such opportunities at home. However, if parents are professional teachers, they can educate their children at home, since they are experts in what they are teaching.
To conclude, I would say that parents are our best teachers and of course they can help us raise as good people , but if you are studying, it’s great to get a high graded knowledge in order to succeed.
