I have attended a course vs. I have taken a course

I was wondering if I can say “I have attended / taken a course” interchangeably.

They don’t quite have the same meaning though they could still usually be used interchangeably.

Hi Francis,

The important distinction in your sentence is that ‘attend’ indicates that you were physically present at the course whereas ‘take’ means that you completed the course.
