I confide my problems to my father

Are both sentences correct?

The verb ‘confide’ takes both the prepositions ‘to’ and ‘in’.
If you attach some privacy or confidentiality to your problems, say, “I confide my problems to my father.”
If you just mean trusting him, you may say, “I confide my problems in my father.”
