Hi

Very Good Morning to all of you. How you people are there without facing any problem
like Rain, Thunder and Lightning?. Here we are suffering like anything, due to this problem, Power Failure, BSNL problems (Internet) were faced by us for past four days.
From yesterday night only we got some relief. Even if I suffer with all these problems
I like my Country INDIA/State Tamilnadu, I don’t know why. I love to suffer with my people whatever
I face. In Tamil language we say “Nandri” to all when the conversation is over.

Nandri my learners.

Dear Sir,

May I know the reason, why the topic post doesn’t exist. I am very busy for our
Deepam" Festival, I am not in a position to concentrate on Forum.
So the Forum doesn’t want me to say thanks in my mother tongue any more it seems…

Thanks a lot.

Hello,

Sometimes in a number of the very long threads where posts have previously been deleted, the page numbering system doesn’t quite work as it should.
In those threads, if you get the message that the topic doesn’t exist, try going pack to the previous page, using the ‘goto page’ numbers to the bottom right of the webpage. That usually does the trick.

Best wishes for Deepam.

Hi everyone

Hi Beeesneees Madam,

Thank you for your reply and I learnt the trick from you for future purpose.
And I also want to “Thank” you for the Wishes to Deepam festival.

Thanks/Nandri in our Mother Tongue Tamil.

Hello, everyone!

In my country, Brazil, the language spoken is Portuguese, Brazilian.
The expression of gratitude, “Thank you very much,” is written and spoken thus: “Muito obrigado!”

Hugs,
Hensiq

Hello everybody!! in Brazil we say muito obrigado to thank you very much or just obrigado to thanks.

Please listen to my recording and respond with a voice message too. Many thanks.

In my native language “think you very” is said: Chokran

In my native language “think you” is said: Chokran

we can also say:

Hi

How not to say “Thanks” in English?, My answer is “No Thanks”. If any one can say
answer to my query? I shall be grateful to the person who says correct answer.

No Thanks

Hello everybody.
In lebanon the word thank you means (shokran).

Hi

As for me, instead of telling thanks in our Mother Tongue, we can say in English, it will easily
understand by many people around the world. Even uneducated people will also say
thanks in English language whereas their mother tongue will not come to their mind immediately,
I have watched so many people like this. What I feel we should thankful to all whether they are good person or not, we should not extend our thanks just because
of benefiting their help, but we should help the person who is needy for anything.Instead of telling thanks we should show our gratitude by doing good things.

I wish you all for a “Happy New Year 2013”. For this, you don’t need to say thanks
to me, you can wish many people on the Forum for “New Year 2013”

Best Wishes

Hello Everybody!
In portugues, we say “Muito Obrigada” witch mean “Thank you very much”

Dear Sir,

I don’t know how to say my “Thanks” to you, Sir Alan and Beeesnees Madam, who inspired me to learn English since 2009. You people are helped me a lot the day
when I joined this Forum, my relieving date from the Forum is nearing , since
my husband is getting retirement next month, I will be available on the forum upto April 15th. After that we will have to shift to our place from this quarters. It will take 3 months to settle down… I let you know after that.

How a child cannot forget his/her mother, like that I cannot forget this forum and you. I am very lucky batch for learning English through this Forum, since I had received all study materials free and saved them in my folder.

My Special & Uncountable thanks to all of you.

Lets look at the topic from another angle.
Mr.Torsten wants us to tell Thanks or Thank you in our mother language.
However, as far as I know in my language there are a number of different ways of saying thank you to everyone.
Now the question is that how we can translate all of them into English language if there is any translation at all. Look at these expression in my language for Thank you:
1)Mamnoon
2)Dastet Dard Nakone
3)Tashakor
4)Mersi
5)Kheili Mamnoon
6)Mochaker

Well in English we have just Thanks or Thank you. Is the answer hidden in the difference between languages in general? I have no idea.
