I’m a local Chinese from Hong Kong and I’m new in here, Hello everyone! My mother tongue is Cantonese Chinese, which is a major dialect of the Chinese Language mainly used in the Southern part of China. If I wanna thank someone I would say 多謝(do ze), or in Mandarin Chinese 謝謝(xie xie).

謝謝您們(Thank you all!)

Alex

Please listen to my recording and respond with a voice message too. Many thanks.

Thank you in Indonesian language (the national language of Indonesia) is terima kasih. In Surabayan language (the local language for Surabaya’s people in Indonesia) is suwun. In Javanese language (the language of the most citizens in Central Java-Indonesia) is matur nuwun. In Madurese language (Madurese is the people who live in Madura island and many of them work in Surabaya-the second biggest city in Indonesia) is sekelangkong. So you can imagine when I have to work as a physician to gather information from the patients (anamnesis), I should be familiar with those things, the people and their languages because not all of Indonesians can speak Indonesian language. Indonesia has more than 17,500 islands, although only a few islands can be resided, still we have so many local languages. Fortunately, we have got national language which most Indonesians speak this way for unity. That’s enough for today because I don’t want to bother you more.
Many thanks.
Lina

Hi dear all,

My name is George and I’m from Russia. Spasibo is the most common way to say thank you in my native language. You can use another phrase to say it : Blagodaryou vas. The phrase is more formal but it sounds really honourably.
