I guess some things just don’t change ;-).
In any language there is something exotic and even frankly erotic. And even if you know American English, then this English will seem somewhat unusual to you. This is because the native speakers have a completely different dialect. They say otherwise. A friend was studying abroad, but I heard German speech before that. He took courses from a native speaker and this is quite different from what I heard in my life. I can even say that he began to speak on it, like some kind of burger with beer and sausages.
