She does say “How do you look up a job?”

This would be something like “How do you find information about a job?” He talks about using the database on their computers as well as actual cards containing the information.

Thank you so much, Arinker :rose:

How do you look up a job?

Who does “you” refer to?

“You” is just someone in general.
“How does someone look up a job?”

Hi again

I have another question:

Dan: We have all of the information entered on the computer, …←

1- Is this Present Perfect Tense?

If we change the sentence like this:

We have entered all of the information on the computer,

2- Is this sentence still correct?

Thanks

While both are correct, they say two different things.

I don’t know who entered the information.

“Information was entered on the computer. We have all of it.”
Or, it could be
“We see to it that all of the information is entered on the computer.”

Here, we did the work of entering the information.

Very nice.

We have all of the information entered on the computer,…← original text

So, the original sentence is not in Present Perfect Tense.

Am I right?

“Have” is not an auxiliary verb here.

It means either “possess” or “see to it that”. The sentence isn’t clear about which meaning.
