Hi Sarinah, welcome to our forum and thanks for posting your first question. You want to know how to expand your vocabulary and there are lots of things you can do to achieve your goal. For starters, you can read texts on a regular basis and look up new words in a dictionary. Have you tried this method?

Thanks for your reply dear torsten.
I’ve tried this method but the problem which annoys me is that I can’t remember the words after a while or I don’t use the words when I’m speaking.

Can you please describe in detail what kind of language learning activities you engage in on a daily basis? What is the first thing you do after you wake up? It should be switching on the radio or TV which should be tuned to the BBC, CNN, CNBC or any other English language channel.
