Do we say HIGH or TALL building?

Usually ‘tall’ but use of ‘high’ is common too.

Hi Bev,

In passing, with regard to fences, fences can be only high but never tall, right? Or can they be tall too?

Correctly, high, but just as ‘high’ is often used about buildings, then ‘tall’ is sometimes used about fences!
Native English speakers don’t think so hard about the grammar on a day to day basis.
