Hi guys, I'm Marina from Croatia

Hi everyone. My name is Marina, but people sometimes call me Mina or Marishka. I am 17 years old, from Croatia. I absolutely adore English, I would even call it my passion. I love every minute which I spend learning new things about it.

I study commercialism and economics, but I’ve come to realize that it’s not what I really want out of my life. I would like to get even more involved in English, in one way or another.

I write in English everyday, but it never seems to be enough, so I decided to join this site and hopefully improve my English. You see, we are currently studying Past Tenses at school (we are at Intermediate Level) and it aggrivated me to no end that I had got a B earlier this day because I just CAN’T seem to understand grammar. So, hopefully, I will find my answers here.

I always read explanations of tesnes from outside sources (not from my school books) and try to understand them, but to no avail. :sigh:

I could write a big, big rant about how people have been selling me short, thinking that I have no idea what English is, but I won’t do that – it’s my first post (hehe).

Some general info about me: I like music…very much! My favourite singers are Elton John and Robbie Williams and my favourite groups are Queen, the Clash, Guns’n’roses, RHCP, Pink Floyd…uumm…and many other…

I’ll wrap this up, I don’t want to bore you to death. :slight_smile:

Welcome , Marina. :slight_smile: You have a special music taste. Guns and Roses, Queen …they are old but classical bands. I like music ,too.(very much!) :wink: I like to collect all kinds of nice music ,hehhe, exploring a big music treasure now. :wink:

Yes F.F., I’ve been told that I have a special taste in music. Maybe because I am not so intrested in ‘new’ music. I like older songs very much. I can listen and like almost anything that is not rap, heavy metal or techno. Haha.
