1- Would you mind if I closed the door? (A very polite way of asking one’s permission: You yourself close the door.)
2- Would you mind closing the door? (A very polite of way of asking somebody to do something for you. The listener will close the door NOT you.)
Yes, the form is be/ get used to doing something unlike subject+used to+ live/read/like etc.
