i am new to this forum…my exam is on 12 feb.i have started prepartion from dec.but since then my score is not improving.it always comes in the range of 350 - 450.i m following barron’s and kaplan book.
can anybody suggest me what strategy i should follow.?
is barrons word list is sufficient to crack gre ?
is there any free online tests??
Barron’s is sufficient if you want to score upto 650 in GRE verbal. You have to practice Big Book verbal tests and also to try few softwares and flashcards which can improve your vocabs. Also practice can only improve your scores.
I used Both princeton review (the whole book), and parts of barron. I also used math review from ets website. I only had 3 weeks to prepare; however, for the verbal part, I actually started to memorize GRE words long time ago, little by little, day by day, that way, they stick longer. I suggest that you get kaplan vocab flash cards in conjunction with the hit parade lists in princeton review. Just stay calm during the test. There are usually 3 reading passages on verbal, try to improve your reading speed and comprehension as much as you can. Other than that, there is one new verbal or math question. you can get more info on ets. Good luck
I used Princeton Review…the vocab hit list is great. It was very good overall for verbal. They have one free test on their Web site, www.review.com, but for the rest, you have to buy the book (Cracking the GRE).
