Help me make a sentence

Hi,
I’m preparing a draft of user’s guide, which is for a piece of software utility. I want to guide users to enter an IP address. The IP address to be entered must be the IP address of the computer they are using for running this software. Can I say it like this:

Enter the IP address of the PC on which your XXX software is running.

Please correct it.
Thank you.

Justin

That is okay.

This would be more straightforward.

“Enter your computer IP address.”

People would hardly be running the software on one machine and think they had to enter the IP address of another machine.
