hello everyone on this forum. I am here to share my toefl links with all of you. Being a part of this forum, I would like to share some of the links for toefl preparation. If anyone of you have some links or websites, do share with me and other members of this forum. This will help everyone to master his/her skills regarding reading, listening, speaking and writing. So here I go; strictlyenglishusa.com
These are some of the web links, I know.It is true that anyone can find these links with no effort. But my purpose is to share and to get to know about the others’ sources of toefl test preparation. If a single person responds to my message, I will really appreciate it. Last but not least, the students who have already passed the toefl test can also share their links or sources with us. I believe this can help not only me but the people who are weak in one or some of the above sections.
Thanks.
Hi, Babo, I got some stuff but I can’t public them due to the copyright. So, if you’re interested, send me a private message and I’ll reply you with more details
Well, you don’t public the materials, you just send them privately to A LARGE AMOUNT of people in this forum lol…you keep mum very well friend ( said with tongue in cheek ^^ )
@Babo, thanks a lot for your sharing and your great idea. They are very helpful.
haha to me, the laws are written to be broken :"> We need to know law in order to break them intelligently Btw, up to now, I’ve only sent them to you (and Babo would be the second if he/she asks me to do so)
Thanks guys for reading my message. If you want to share some other material you are most welcomed. This way you can help a lot of students. Richard, if you have something to share with us, don’t be late and just share with us.
Uhm, I don’t take TOEFL in the near future, so maybe my method is not so quite suitable for you guys. Anyway, I have some experiences in writing only.
1, Read, read, and read. as Kitos usually urges us to do. I read lots of his stories and his old posts. His stories are posted in the “listening, speaking, …” thread. If you can, look over some his older posts, they were very emotional and inspiring. Observant enough, you’ll note that I use lots of his words in my essays.
2, Recently, I have to do so many grammar exercises. It dawns on me that the more I do, the larger my vocabulary. Unconsciously these exercises help me a great deal in my vocabulary development. You can find many books like these online(such as Check your vocabulary for IELTS, I really don’t care they are for IELTS or TOEFL, because the ultimate goal is vocabulary enlargement) (sorry I don’t have links because I use printed books)
3, I have a collection of books by MICHAEL MCCARTHY and FELICITY O’DELL:
English IDIOMS in use
+English PHRASAL VERBS in use
English VOCABULARY in use
English COLLOCATIONS in use
Because my time from now on to the exam is limited, I have to study selectively. I only read these books before going to bed :). Yep, reading makes us sleep well… seems like getting the best of both worlds . However, I assure you that these books are helpful in the long term as long as you consider studying English is an ongoing process :). Maybe after exam, I’ll spend more time for them, now I have a bigger fish to fry
…just some personal experiences…hope they are of little help.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year friend.
Nguyen.
