Hello, everybody!

My name is Ekaterina. I’m a new comer here, and I’m really glad I’ve joined all of you!

First I would like to thank the founders of this site - you are doing a great job!

Now a few words about myself - I’m an English teacher from Moscow, Russia. I train adults mostly at Elementary and Pre-intermediate levels. I enjoy it a lot, but it sometimes seems to me I forget the language. So I try and use additional resources to refresh my knowledge. And the materials on this site are useful both for my students and me. I believe it’s the fullest, the most interesting and the most fascinating site for English learners.

By the way, Torsten, you learned Russian, didn’t you? And trained in Novosibirsk in the 90s. How did you like it? If you remember a lot  I do admire people who can speak the Russian language! Do you use it nowadays?

Ekaterina

Hello Ekaterina,

Welcome to english-test.net and many thanks for your interesting introduction. Yes, I spent a few months in Siberia and I liked it a lot. As for my Russian, I pretty much use it every day since my wife’s mother tongue is Russian (although her German is much better than my Russian). In addition, I speak Russian with Slava, the programmer and network administrator of our site.

What about you, how is life in Moscow these days? Who are your students and why do they want to learn English?

Regards,
Torsten[YSaerTTEW443543]
