Haven't seen him in a year vs haven't seen him for a year

Hi, do you see any difference between ‘I haven’t seen him in a year’ and ‘I haven’t seen him for a year’? Many thanks, Torsten

There is not much difference. The subtlety I guess could be as indicated below.
‘I haven’t seen him in a year’ - I’ve not seen him at any time during the last 12 months.
‘I haven’t seen him for a year’ - I’ve never seen him during the last one-year period.
