Hello everyone

I’d like to ask about the sentence “Have you got a job?”.

Is it present perfect or is it present simple meaning “Do you have a job”?

Hi Klpno,

They both mean the same in the sense of whether you are actually employed now. Here in the UK we can say either with a preference for ‘Have you got a job?’ in conversation.
