have fun and fun // also quite, pretty, rather

can somebody hep me to solve these words THANK YOU

“Fun” is pleasure, especially from lighthearted activities and entertainment. Predictably, “to have fun” means to experience pleasure.

“Quite,” “pretty,” and “rather” all mean “somewhat” or “considerable.”

When you say something is rather/quite + adj, you imply you don’t like it. When you say something is pretty + adj, you like it!

That is not true, Bookaholic.

She is quite a good singer.
That was rather generous of you.
The meal was quite satisfying.
What you did was pretty bad.

The real difference is that “pretty” is less formal than the others.

I didn’t know that. So, what’s the difference between The pool is rather deep and The pool is pretty deep?

“Pretty” is less formal and more conversational. Apart from that, there is none.

What about the word fairly, sir?

‘The pool is rather deep’
to me, this would indicate the water is a little deeper than
‘The pool is fairly deep’

Thank you so much. In conclusion, these words are just different in emphasis level. Am I correct?
