hard worker vs hard working

I’m really confused about it because I’ve heard that people say “she’s a hard working person” but I’ve also heard that when the person isn’t mentioned the form hard worker is used sometimes, for example: the hard worker went to Australia. I hope someone can explain this to me, I’m not sure when to use each of them, thanks!

Hi Sheker
In your sentence ‘She’s a hard-working person’ hard-working is an adjective that modifies the noun person whereas ‘hard worker’ is a noun. You cannot say hard worker person.

ohh i get it know, thank you!
