If it weren’t for Wilhelm Busch, there would be no Katzenjammer Kids, the longest-running comic strip in America – 100 years now!
The comics from the early 20th century were extremely funny, but now it’s more or less just a typical American newspaper strip and not as crazy and exciting as it was in my grandparents’ day.

I used to be a collector of early Katzenjammer Kids. Some comic book stores sell the pages of the newspaper on which the comic strip is printed. Every once in a while, you can find them in a flea market or yard sale. Unfortunately, I have no idea where I put mine. Things get lost every time you move.
