When I was preparing for the GRE I was really annoyed at those companies out there that charge excessive fees. Hundreds, sometimes thousands of dollars! I checked out study books from my public library, and I utilized several free websites, including:
Mygretutor.com is sepcifically for the GRE and has thousands of vocabulary words (or at least I think it has that many because I mastered over 1000 words) , while number2.com is pretty basic and has some good information, too.
Don’t be fooled into thinking that you need to spend money to prepare for the GRE! I hope this helps.
GRE practice tests ARE expensive. There are only a few out there that are free, and yes, GRE.org is one of the places, and also the free GRE test on GRE.org doesn’t work on macintosh computers. Besides, you want to practice a lot, so you need more than just a few practice tests. There are only two websites that I know of which have free tests, and those are gre.ort and mygretutor.com
mygretutor.com does have full-length practice tests for the GRE. Just go to their website and sign up, which is free. You need to sign up because the website keeps track of your progress and remembers which questions and tests you have completed. Once you have signed up on their website, you want to click on “practice gre”, and there you can take the tests.
And it seems like mygretutor.com just posted a new verbal section, so there are a total of 2 full math sections and 3 full math sections that you can take. These are full tests because they are adapative and they are timed. I am going to take the third verbal practice test right now.
Also, in the original post, the link was wrong. It should be number2.com
these are not free site for full length test if any one know
link please let me know
Yeah, mygretutor.com does have free tests, but each section is broken up, so you can actually just take the verebal section and then wait as long as you want before you take the math section. If you do take the sections in order and right after each other, then I think the practice tests at mygretutor are quite good, with timing and then analysis at the end.

Yes, there are many free sites, but some are better than others. missiongre.com is more intent on advertising than they are on helping you prepare for the GRE – for each practice question, you see multiple ads, and their practice tests are not timed nor are they scored. I’d recommend 800score.com, ets.org, or mygretutor.com over missiongre.com. But you be the judge. Look at these websites and the services that they offer – which one is best?
Grecenter.com is totally lame! I wish somebody would remove it from this post. There are like at most 20 practice questions, and then it’s all advertising. It’s obvious that the website was created to make money. Urg, stuff like that makes me mad and wastes my time.
