GPA requirement: I have a CGPA of 7.65/10.00 -- is this good enough?

this is my first post here so a Big Hello to All!!! :slight_smile:

i am planning for a MS in Mechanical Engg and before getting started with my prep for GRE i wanted to know how much CGPA can be considered good enough for getting admission into a decent college…

i have a CGPA of 7.65/10.00…is this gud enough ???..or do i need a very high GRE score to cover up for this…

Hi Sagun,

I think your first step is to get that score converted into the US GPA system. Without this, you won’t know where you stand at all. Getting a good GRE score will always help even if you have a perfect GPA which is what I have been advised. It seems the universities look at everything i.e. GRE, GPA, Personal Statement, and Recommendations. Hope this helps.
