Go figure!

Hi,
Say I’m explaining something not simple but certainly not difficult to someone. Then I say, “Go figure!” I actually want to tell the listener to go and figure the concept himself as there is veritable plethora of that kind of information on the internet.
I doubt very much whether I have used the right phrase(Go figure!) there?

Thanks.

As far as I am aware, “Go figure!” is not used literally in this way. It is only ever used to express the speaker’s puzzlement or lack of understanding. It is primarily an AmE expression.

Sounds about right!
Thanks, Dozy.
