Are the following phrases corect? And are they the same meaning?

She followed him out.
He went out followed by her.

Hi,

They are both grammatically correct and give the same meaning. The only comment I can make is that the use of the passive in the second sentence seems unnecessary.

Alan

Why is it unnecessary? Is this based on the fact that English is an efficient language?

Could it be used as literary expression?

Hi,

Perhaps i should have said ‘clumsy’ or ‘awkward’. What I mean is that the sentence doesn’t flow naturally.

Alan

So, it can not be uesed nor as literary expression.

Hi,

Of course you can use any construction for a literary effect. I was just making a comment on how it appeared to me.
