"Fix" vs "Fix up"

Please read:

a. Tomorrow, I’ll fix my bike up.
b. Tomorrow, I’ll fix my bike.

What is the difference btw “fix” and" fix up"? Same meaning in (a) and (b)?

Hi,

Fix can mean repair or mend and that’s the use in your example: fix your bike.

Fix up usually means arrange (not repair) as in: I’ve fixed up a meeting for next Tuesday morning.
