what does it mean ‘‘it looked fine at me’’?
IMHO:
(1) I have never heard of “It looked fine at me.”
(2) I have heard of:
(a) Mona: I don’t think this dress fits me very well.
Joe: It looks fine TO me. (= I think your dress is OK)
(b) Tony: I have to work late tonight. I won’t be home until 8 p.m.
Wife: That’s fine BY me. ( = I accept your plan without any objections)
