When someone wants to describe himself or another person as someone with many skills what words are best suitable:
experienced vs. proficient vs. competent
What are the differences?
Is one of the terms old-fashioned or exaggerated in a CV or only BritEng.?
Peter
experienced having the knowledge or skill that is necessary
proficient means skilled
competent means having the ability or skill needed
So they are the same
but proficent is stronger than competent if it is used in physical education or about body
