exclusively or solely?

Hi,

in a documention I have to translate the following sentence, or better I have translated it yet:

This plant is suitable for the interchange of warmth between exhaust-air and fresh-air exclusively/solely.

But I am unsure whether to use exclusively or solely. Can anybody help me out with good advice, please?

Hi Michael.

I would suggest ‘solely’ and put it before ‘for the interchange …’. ‘Exclusively’ would do and makes the point a little more definite but perhaps suggests a refinement which you wouldn’t use when talking about a mechanical process.
