I know that usually we say ‘to be excited about something’ but in a film I just heard the phrase "Why are you so excited on this trip". So, can ‘excited’ be also followed by the preposition ‘on’? Thanks a lot.
You can be excited about something, like an event. Or you can be excited during a period of time.
Excited during this trip
Excited at this time
Excited today
Or you can simply ask, “Why are you excited?”, which means now.
