Have you heard of the term ‘Web 2.0’ (web point two oh)? If so, what does it mean to you?
Thanks,

Hi Torsten
Well, I may be a bit over-qualified to answer but “Web 2.0” is frankly just the latest online hype term. Numerous blogs are discussing the usefulness of the term and what it means exactly. In short one could say that all sites that encourage some kind of community effort in creating and sharing content, like Wikipedia, YouTube, MySpace asf. could be labeled “Web 2.0”.
In true capitalistic fashion some of these sites were started by young enthusiasts and were then bought by Google and other mega companies who hope to milk the hordes of contributors by the means of inline advertising.
One who has written extensively on “Web 2.0” issues is Nicholas Carr:

Btw: I happen to have my own blog -in English- where I intend to comment on web developments that strike me as important - or just as odd. It’s here: it-observer.blogspot.com There’s not much there yet, but that will change over time.
Cheers
