Along with the development of technology, education has diversified types of learning in recent years. While online learning programs are considered as the most convenient way, there are many people support studying at a real school. My opinion is divides on both divergences.
On the one hand, there is no doubt that online learning offers the convenience for trainees in terms of time and choices. Firstly, it is obvious that learners can study at their convenience, which is absolutely different from real schools. Additionally, there is a wide range of programs that students can choose the most suitable one. Should a learner have a difficulty in some lessons, it is likely that they can rewind the video tape in order to grasp a thorough understanding.
Another aspect to note is the effectiveness that trainees can get. To be more precise, online learning program gathers many professional teachers. As a result, students stand a good chance of consulting the most high-qualified trainers. This is one of the main contributors to students’ effective learning.
On the other hand, distant learning is not in the purpose for a well-rounded development. That is to say, it lacks the interaction between teachers and students as well as among peers. Regrettably, this hinders learners from developing social relationship and social knowledge. Hence, online program makes trainees miss opportunities to enhance the social interaction.
Moreover, one of the main problems of learning online is the lack of motivation. In other words, there is no supervision of teachers, little competition among companions. As such, learners become ignorant to their study and lose all the interests in learning.
In conclusion, from suggested above, online learning has both positive and negative side. However, it is my belief that learning at a real school is still the best way since it serves as a catalyst for students’ motivation and the well-balanced development.
