[color=green]Choose any transportation and explain how it has changed people’s lives:
Among the triumphant and majestic inventions of the modern world, prevalent transportation is one large sphere. The huge advancement in this field was candidly beyond man’s imagination, just two centuries back. Only if today’s generation has time to listen some fables from their grand parents, they will come to know that even a bicycle was considered, a modern means of communication in their times.
Man has been using horses, camels, cows, donkeys and many other animals, in the past. Slow and anguished as they were, the invention of wheel, appeared to be a turning point in the history of transportation. However, after wheel, the invention of engine made another symbolic advancement, and since then, more and more advance techniques and sophisticated transportations, whether on land, in air or marine are being developed to provide ease and comfort to humankind.
Comparing among the various kinds of transportations available today, I consider railway transportation as one of the most eloquent one. Although, airoplanes and automobiles have provided much ease in everyday life. The importance of railway transportation remains perpetual.
Apart from being fast, comfortable and cheap, railways play an important role in the economy of a country. Having an efficient, adequate system of railways, enhance the ease of businessmen and agriculturalists. It provides ways for the producers and consumers to efficiently and conveniently intermingle within time frame and boost their business as well as the over all economy of the country.
Secondly, in today’s flooded, jam-pack cities, a railway system can provide solution to many increasing problems. Much use of automobiles could be reduced with a local train system, that adequately covers all the important routes in the city. Not to mention, automobiles are one of the major source of pollution and their less usage will highly effect the energy savings of the country. Saving time from the traffic jams and money from the fuel expenses can be helpful to everybody.
Moreover, it can lead towards good health of citizens, as a little walk will become part of their routine lives. Instead of engaging ourselves in the hard job of driving in the traffic after a whole day’s work, one can sit back and relax for a few minutes in the train and then, can inhale the fresh air while walking towards the home from the railway station.
Tourism can become easy and popular in such an environment. A good example of this is in the modern city of Kaula lumpur, Malaysia. A tourist can easily move around the main city, shopping malls and hotels without worrying about taxis.
Considering the many benefits of railway system, I acknowledge it as a transportation that has the potential to become the backbone of the economy of a country, while providing an easy and healthy way of locomotion to the citizens.
