The actual issue is not ‘enough’, but ‘profit’ and ‘practice’ which, to my knowledge, are uncountable nouns. So using them in the plural form is not acceptable.
profit and practice can both be countable.
They can be both countable and uncountable depending on the meaning.
In contexts like the ones (as posted) I understand that the nouns such as experience, profit, practice etc need not be pluralized. (But in very rare cases, I have heard them, like ‘waters’, ‘oils’ etc, in plural.) Well, now, are the above two types of sentences really acceptable, Alan?
