Was ist der Unterschied zwischen ebenso und gleichfalls?
Wenn jemand sagt: “Schönes Wochenende” und ich antworte: “Ebenso oder Gleichfalls”?

Does it mean “you too”, that mean you wish him/her a nice weekend, too?

In the situation above “Wie geht es dir?” another possible reaction could be: Ebenso, danke! A bit stiffer, when the contact between the two persons is not very close: Ebenso, danke der Nachfrage word choice - "Ebenfalls" vs. "Gleichfalls" - German Language Stack Exchange"

Du kannst sowohl mit ‘gleichfalls’, ‘ebenfalls’ oder ‘ebenso’ antworten. Allerdings finde ich es ziemlich unhöflich, mit nur einem Wort zu antworten. Wenn du jemandem ebenfalls ein schönes Wochenende wünschen möchtest, kannst du doch wenigstens einen kurzen Satz formulieren. Wie wäre es mit “Das wünsche ich dir auch” oder “Ich wünsche dir auch ein super Wochenende”? Oder wenigstens: “Dir/Ihnen auch”.
