dummying you into next week

Hi,
Hitting\slapping a person into next week is something you could logically explain: they’ll remember it until the next week. Seems you could also dummy\throw someone into next week with surprise (perhaps making them contemplate how it could happen at all):
“David Silva collects a pass in the box, shapes to shoot, dummies Marcelo into next week …”;
“There’s an interesting idea,’ she said, throwing him into next week with the surprise of it.”

I wonder if you could also scare\cheer up… someone into next week.

To me, the sense I get is that Silva made a fool of Marcelo by faking him out so badly. He made him look like a dummy.

I think you could scare someone into next week, but not cheer them up into next week.
