Worked with the Drescheibe group II yesterday and today. Very good potential when you approach everyone individually. Had a total of 14 young people with different backgrounds and goals all of whom had learned at least 4 years English at school. Reviewed the basics (alphabet, frequently used verbs, phases to use on the telephone, describing one’s professional background, simple present, job descriptions, question words, etc.). Also, met with Mark Mittasch, Managing Director of SportRadar.com whose office is just one floor up our classroom. Very bright and organized person, wants to see our iOS TOEIC app once it gets launched since all of his staff needs functional English skills. Looking forward to going back to Gera Friday.[YSaerTTEW443543]

Hallo Torsten,
Today I have worked with the Drescheibe group I .
Torsten , you are right stating “Very good potential when you approach everyone individually”.

I have followed Torsten’s advice and approached Nicole, Sandra 1 and 2, Rene 1 and 2, Dayana, Willi, Carola, Christian individually with good success. Here we have a total of nine young motivated people with different backgrounds, interests and goals all of whom had learned at least 4 years English at school.

We have reviewed the basics (alphabet according to NATO standard, frequently used verbs, Questions and negation, phrases to use on the telephone, describing one’s professional background, simple present, job descriptions, question words, numbers etc.).

Tomorrow we shall continue this constructive communicative cooperative way.
Have a successful working stay in Great Britain.
best wishes Uli.

Hallo Torsten and Roberto,
Today and yesterday I have worked with the Drehscheibe group I in FAW Gera , Fasaneninsel 1. The project room is downstairs and all FAW people will help you to find the Drehscheibe learners quickly.
Torsten , you are very right stating “Very good potential when you approach everyone individually” .
I have followed Torsten`s advice and approached Nicole, Sandra 1 and 2, Rene 1 and 2, Dayana, Willi, Carola, Christian very individually with good success. Here we have a total of nine young motivated people with different backgrounds, individual interests and very differentiated short and long term goals; some Drehscheibe students had learned at least four years English at school but some are beginners ( Christian ).
We have reviewed the basics (alphabet according to NATO standard , frequently used verbs, regular and irregular English verbs, Questions and negation, phrases to use on the telephone, describing one’s professional background, simple present, job descriptions, question words, numbers etc.).
Tomorrow we shall continue this constructive communicative cooperative way.
Roberto, you should continue to work individually, asking the special interests of the participants and react accordingly. May be you could concentrate on telefoning exercises, some commercial letters and number training.
All learners have internet access in class, this way we can also work with the excellent english-test.net - tests and excercises.
Hallo Torsten,
Have a successful working stay in Great Britain.
best wishes Uli. Thank you.
