Do you want some more coffee vs. would you like some more coffee?

So when would you say ‘Do you want some more coffee’ and when ‘Would you like some more coffee’? Do you see any difference between both questions?

Thanks,
Torsten[YSaerTTEW443543]

1.) To your wife.

2.) To your mistress.

Only joking, but I’m bored Torsten. A bit quiet here tonight.

Kitosdad.

I would say “Do you want some more coffee?” when in reality I don’t want to give it.

And “Do you like some more coffee?” as a genuine offer to get some.

And Torsten, I’m bored, too.

“Would you like” is slightly more polite.
