Do you **like** it there?

Hi!

.
.

B: I’ve been good. I’m in school right now.
A: What school do you go to?
B: I go to PCC.
A: Do you like it there?
B: It’s okay. It’s a really big campus.
A: Good luck with school.
.

1- What does"like" mean here?

Does it mean "satisfied "?

like this: Are you satisfied with it there?

2- Why “Do you like it there” and not “Do you like it”?

Thank you

  1. I think “like” is more like “enjoy”. Saying “satisfied” would mean “Does it meet your expectations.”

  2. “Do you like it?”
    “Do you like it there?”
“Do you like it at PCC?”
Since the previous line mentions PCC, it’s obvious that these three questions all refer to PCC. The speaker is providing a little more specific information in each case, but it doesn’t change the meaning since it’s clear he’s referring to PCC.
