[color=green]Hi Kitosdad, hi Tutorphill,
This time I tried to cut redundant (fluffy) words out, as Tutorphill advised me. I would like to ask you both to assess this essay. So I can get a feeling, what should I do next. Thank you very much.
I believe, grades encourage the student to learn in different ways. First, grades show the students, where their standpoint is? Second, grades produce a sense of competition. Finally, good grades are important features for later career.
To begin, grades can show the students, how good they have understood the subject. This can encourage them to learn more or keep their pace of learning. Once in high school I realized that my knowledge of cell biology was fairly limited, as I received my scores. That could impact my next semester biology course. Therefore, I knew, that I had to do more, if I wanted to be eligible for next semester.
In addition, grades can trigger an atmosphere of competition between classmates. Without marks the differences in knowledge and performance among the students are not quite visible. I remember in my school time we were motivated to get the best marks an win the school best prices in writing, science, languages, etc.
Finally, well scored graduation can pave the way for further success. With good marks, the chances to get a better job or study place are increased. Universities and employers are more inclined to give the opportunities to whom with better grades. This could be a important reason to learn more.
To sum up, rating student’s performance help them to better self-assessment; encourage them to compete; and is an indicator for the further carrier. Thus, it will promote the students to better learning. I believe, that grading will be an inseparable part of educational assessment in the future.
