This by no means firm. But a dish is usually flat and oval, whereas a tray is often rectangular and far bigger. There are definitely oval trays. A tray is also likelier to have portions for a main dish and side dishes. Broadly, dishes are anything used for food. When you wash the dishes, you will also wash trays and cups.
It’s clear. Thank you!
People often carry dishes on a tray. For example, in a cafeteria people put dishes of food on trays and carry it to tables.
