Hi All,
Could you please tell me if there is any difference between “a diploma in or a diploma of”? I have been saying “in”; however, I have noticed some people use “of”?
Thank you.
Hi All,

Thank you.
If you are talking in general descriptive terms of “a diploma in such and such a subject” then it should be “in”. However, the proper name of some diplomas is "Diploma of ", in which case you should use “of”.
Dozy,
Are these sentences correct?
Hi again, thank you for your reply.
If the above is correct, then there is no difference?
Referring to Dozy’s post, my understanding is that it is “a diploma in”, if you are doing a subject/discipline, i.e. I am doing a diploma in business administration, but I hold a diploma of project management - as a level of a degree?
Thank you.
“I am doing a diploma in business administration” is correct. However, a particular college may offer a “Diploma of Business Administration”. That is the proper title of a specific diploma, not a general description.
Thank you.
