Hi,
They both indicate that the work is now finished and completed. 'Was done, suggests that this work was completed at a particular and known time in the past as in: This work was done last year/in 2005/on Tusday or whenever. ‘Has been done’ indicates only that the work was completed at some unkown time in the past as in: This work has been done and now we can go on to the next project.
Alan
Thanks a lot Alan,
That clarified my doubt.
Thanks,

i’m getting so much confuse please help me out
Hi, jimmorse.
-He has been admitted in the hospital. (this a passive voice of the present perfect).
The is the “active voice”:
-The hospital has admitted him. (active voice). But since it is both present perfect it talking about an unspecified time in which he was admitted in the past.
-He is admitted in the hospital.(this is simple present passive).
-The hospital admits him. (active voice).
See the passive pattern of the simple present below:
-Am/are/is + past participle.
He has been admitted TO the hospital.
thanks Friends
Hi, Jimmorse this could be your answer:
-She is separated from the rest.(passive voice of the present simple).
This action of separation is in the present time and not in the PAST.
-She has been separated from the rest.(present perfect passive)
This
action happened in an unknown time in the PAST.
So to me there is some kind of distinction between both sentence concerning the TIME in which they happened.
Hence not the same in TIME.
thanks adu
