What’s the difference between these sentences:
I stayed not long.
I didn’t stay long.

I didn’t stay long.
The first one is poetic and second normal.

Familiarity. Friendliness. Have you also noticed that MrP continually calls me “M”?

I do the same, but I get either criticised for doing so, or this forums’ trolls come out of the forest to destroy such threads. Why do you think that is?
