A very interesting article that shows that the concept of degrowth has been gaining popularity in Germany as a sustainable alternative to the destructive ideology of infinite economic growth: Here is an excerpt from the article:

In the political think tank “Konzeptwerk neue Ökonomie” in Leipzig, they are convinced that the pursuit of ever more economic growth is a main reason for the climate crisis. That’s why they’re calling for a shift away from the growth imperative here. “If we assume that infinite growth is not possible on a planet with limited resources, and if we do try to achieve it, as is currently happening, we will end up with crises such as the climate crisis,” says Ruth Krohn, explaining the group’s political approach.
