Definition of midday (noun)

Hello,

There is an error in this test question 4 of TOEIC practice test (Test # TOEIC/W225). In view of the correct answer, “midday”, the correct time should read “12 p.m.” rather than “12 a.m.”, which is midnight. Could you please verify this matter?

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Hello Dozy,

Thank you for providing a link (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12-hour_cl … d_midnight) that clarifies the confusion of A.M. and P.M. In addition to that link, I would like to add the definition of p.m. found under TOEIC preparation test Test # TOEIC/M12.

Here is an excerpt from the Meaning of p.m.:

8. Meaning of p.m. (abbreviation, acronym)
