Hi Sir,
Here i got a doubt as you said we should use ‘on’ for days and ‘in’ for months then why are we using for example I was born on september 29th, here we are using month first and day as second. please clarify…

plz conform it that iam going in the right way or not
i had attended the cermony on the 20 dec
you will be there at 7 o clock
plz check it

Hi Madiha,

First you need to start capitalizing the beginning of each sentence. Also, words such as ‘plz’ and ‘i’ don’t exist in English.

Your sentences should read I attended the ceremony on December 20.
You will be there at 7 oclock.

In addition, please read How can I improve my writing skills?

Please start developing basic language habits as soon as possible.

Many thanks,
Torsten[YSaerTTEW443543]

TOEIC listening, photographs: Visiting the ruins[YSaerTTEW443543]

Yes, the correct use is on September 29th or on the 29th of September.
I was born in September.
I was born on September 29th.

Please remember to capitalize the names of the months.

Best regards,
Torsten[YSaerTTEW443543]

TOEIC listening, photographs: Resting by the pyramid[YSaerTTEW443543]

22th does not exist.[YSaerTTEW443543]

TOEIC listening, photographs: Prayer time[YSaerTTEW443543]

22th does not exist 22nd is right

1=1st

2=2nd

3=3rd

4=4th then this rule applicable till 20th (5th , 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 20th etc)then we follow this rule (1st=21st , 2nd=22nd , 3rd=23rd )from 21 to 23

4=4th=24th then the previous rule of “th“ applicable from 24th to 30th

Then 1=1st =31st

Hope the will remove you confusion

I have, for too long a time, been soooooooooooooo lazy regarding English grammar, satisfied with the confidence that I knew instinctively just what I had to say.
I steered well clear of well-meaning thoughts of doing " just a little bit more "in this regard, because I had always found it so boring a subject. Not any longer.

The " Sunny " is shining, and I am learning, with a new view toward grammar.

Perhaps I will find that, at 70, I am too old to absorb Sunny’s teachings, but I certainly hope not.

Thank you Sunny, for making this subject more interesting than ever before.
