On these photos you can see that parts of the infrastructure in Leipzig is in dire shape. Large parts of the rails for the tramway need a complete overhaul because the trams in Leipzig cause an awful amount of noise.
However, instead of wasting resources on trying to fix the rails we could purchase a new battery based trolley bus system developed and manufactured in China.
